Ashley Furniture / Flair Furniture Vicki / JoAnn / Phalen / Chris Charged inflated "new" prices for dirty damaged floor model items in a lengthy period!

In Aug my wife and I purchased over $7000 dollars worth in merchandise from this store. The sales lady, Vicki, played her role very well. Advising us it was the best sale ever and the quality and service to follow would be exceptional and to call her if there were any problems. We trusted her as we shared with her why we were in desperate need for furniture. We advised Vicki we had purchased our first new home and the months to follow would be taking care of my terminally ill mother. Given that she was aware of this info, I to this day cannot believe her or any of her associates would allow such crooked business to play out.

August and September came and went. However, in the meantime we had to start paying on the product although it was never delivered. We made numerous and I mean numerous calls and their excuses were 1) truck never showed 2) we are backlogged but should be caught up soon 3) truck showed but entire order was not on it 4) one rep advised if just one part is held up they will hold up the whole order 5) another rep advised they don't start building the furniture until there is sufficient number for that same particular model, once they reach a request then they start processing an order 6) several times hung up on 7) advised manager has the shipment list and he/she is out of the office and is the only person that can give status 8) promised they were able to bump our order up and will arrive next week—hence no delivery still!

After paying a visit in person at this store requesting our furniture we were advised we would get it and would definitely list us a priority. They sympathized with us concerning my mother's illness and apologized for the shipment delay. Late October we were advised the furniture was "on the way" but they needed directions to the house. We provided them in detail, which are actually very simple. Hours went by. When we called the number back and the store no answer, it just rang and rang&we waited until 10 o'clock. We were so upset as we had cancelled all prior plans only to be stood up and sit there waiting for this "no show" crew.

Finally we went in person to the store again—outraged at the "lack of service" we were receiving. The manager (at that time—no joke they change weekly) advised we would need to leave the store—he had no answer. Finally, a rep from the wharehouse came out and advised ok, ok we will deliver your furniture. We demanded they deliver it that same day. Hours later the furniture arrived, it was all pieced together—damaged pieces. I don't know what is worse never receiving furniture and simply getting a credit via your credit card, or receiving horrible furniture, dirty and damaged. The delivery men advised they would have to leave the furniture although it is damaged, and we would need to get in contact with the store where we purchased it from. We were advised we would get no replacement furniture but that a repair man would come out and repair all the pieces! I thought to myself we paid NEW prices but are receiving OLD beat up junky furniture. This is a scam! The repair man was not able to come out until end of November.By this time my mother had passed. I was sad that she was never able to see our new home and enjoy the comforts of it. I wonder some times how these people sleep at night, especially the initial sales rep, Vicki, who knew our situation. I have since learned she was only here temporarily to make the "quick sale" with all the others and took back off to North Carolina. Thank you Vicki, you'll have to answer to Him later. Anyway it is now Feb 29 and we still have no resolution, are given the same excuses as above. Every other call are hung up on.

We contacted GE Money Bank credit services to advise again of our situation. They are sending a dispute form. Please EVERYONE DO NOT buy from this store or any Ashley's products in the future. They simply don't care, and are not timid to tell that to your face.
