This has been a horrible experience. I purchased furniture 1,049.36 invoice # 1258627 on 2/28 was told 2-3 weeks delivery estimate by the sales representative and that the delivery was free. After I paid for the furniture I was told 4-6 weeks and was charged for delivery. I emailed corporate to complain because the store was not acknowledging I was advised my delivery was free, and finally someone called me and had the delivery charge refunded. The furniture was delivered today 4/5. Upon delivery I asked the driver was the furniture in it's crates/boxes he advised me no, I watched them take the merchandise off the truck wrapped in quilts and packing tape which concerned me, because my furniture was not protected and the tape was being cut of with box cutters. Needless to say my dresser has scratches across the top. I pointed out the first scratch to the delivery person. The delivery person called and reported the scratch I spoke with the gentleman who advised me to right across the bottom of the receipt that the dresser was damaged someone would come out to look at the damage Monday or Tuesday of next week, once the delivery people left I turned on another light only to find more scratches. I called the number on my invoice was advised it was already reported and I would get a call in 5-7 days. I went on line called the corporate number was given the corporate number for the Catonsville Maryland store to get some answers as to why each person has given me a different answer, and was given yet another answer this person advised me I have to take pictures and email them to the office. I don't see how effective pictures are going to be because the dresser has a marble finish that will camouflage the scratches. I was not pleasant with the representative at all I was very loud and rude. This has been a horrible experience I will never shop here or recommend Ashley furniture to anyone. This is unacceptable. My furniture is delivered damaged and I have to wait for the company to do something about it. This is the worst customer service ever. Based on getting a different answer from each representative I spoke with today I feel like this issue will never be resolved, at the least the cost of the dresser should be reduced so I can be done with this nightmare. This is the worst I have never seen a company be so nonchalant, evasive, non compliant, and indifferent to it's customers concerns that were created by the company.
