In Nov. 2005 I requested by telephone, internet and mail to cancel my acct with Netscape Internet service. They agreed to cancel the acct.in April 10 my bank acct reflected a withdrawal from Netscape Internet. I called them 4/11/06. The person I spoke to insisted that I still had an account. I told her they are not on my computer!
Finally I asked to speak to the supervisor. I talked to Mr. Andy Bond. He acknowledged receiving my request for cancellation.
He explained that they decided to give me 2 months free service (which I did not use) I had completely removed their service!
He stated after the 2 months free service, they billed me. I told him they were not authorized to do so. After some denials and debates, he finally stated "We will put the money back into your acct... It will take 5 days". I will allow them time to return my money back to my acct. Before I file a consumer complaint with Michigan's Att. General Mike Cox.
