I was interested in Netscapes 30 day free trial. I downloaded Netscape and signed up for service. My computer was not able to connect to Netscapes server because the message said, "these numbers will be retireing soon." I called for technical help and a person there told me to delete Netscape and download it again which I did and I had the same problem. I had wasted so much time at this point I gave up and decided to cancel my account.
A week later I then noticed that my account had been charged $10 for a service I had never used because I was unable to use it. I talked to Sally at customer support about this nonsence of charging me $10 for a service which I cancelled before the 30 days had expired. Sally told me it was company policy and there was nothing she could do about it.
This is outrageous. I told Sally that I would contact the Federal Trade Commission and she could care less. If this is the type of business Netscape runs it should not be allowed to operate in this country.
