I read the many other duped customers and the sad defense provided by former employees.
If this many people are reporting this - it must be
a scam!
I bought a camcorder from Best Buy w / a $50 gift card. A week later, I get this privasafe e-mail saying that I must sign up for it to get the card. I responded - no way. I told them I didn't want the account. I received repeated e-mails but I deleted them b/c of the nuisance - they kept saying - to sign up please reply — so I didn't sign up.
Well, I recently took over bill paying duties from my wife and I noticed this charge on our bill. I don't know how long it has been there, but I am furious.
Who do I turn to - I will call the company, but I fear the red tape runaround.
