After paying $600 to cover my freezer, fridge, and range, Sears won't come out for a week to repair my freezer. The control panel has gone out and they cannot say whether it will continue to keep the food frozen during that time. They will pay for part of the food if it stops working completely but the freezer would be ruined. They refuse to let me speak with a supervisor about possibly coming out at an earlier date. They placed us on hold and then conveniently disconnected us. After reading all the complaints about no-shows for appointments, I am quite concerned by their attitude. Every appliance we own is from Sears because of the warranties. Never again. We will not set foot in their stores again. I just checked and the freezer is running constantly so the thermostat is no longer working. I imagine I will have a huge electric bill next month.
