On May 7th, I called Apple Support and somehow reached this company (possible phone call hijacked). I asked if it was Apple Support because I have a 3 year contract with Apple for support. I was told that Apple NO LONGER DOES THEIR OWN TECH SUPPORT and had given this company a contract to perform customer/tech support. When I explained that i had a 3 year contract for tech support I was told that the contract was only for mechanical problems and not for customer support.in order for them to help me, I need to pay $249.99 for a yearly contract which would renewed automatically in one year. He did fix my laptop problem. Then he told me that I'd be receiving a WD external harddrive (which I didn't/don't need!) - but he did not tell me that they were going to charge my credit card for $164.98!
A few days later (5.15.13), I had to call for more technical help and the technician solved my problem. And I was told, that because I was such a "loyal customer" I'd be receiving several coupons for a wireless printer, a wireless keyboard and a laptop charger. I was not told that there would be any charges involved. I assumed, since they were inside my laptop, they knew that I already had all of those devices (ok... I'm gullible!). I'm now out a total of $749.93! Not only is this company a scam, they are also fraudulent - which means that their business practices are illegal.
