I received a notice that my web hosting was scheduled for automatic renewal, but the card on file was expired. I contacted them and cancelled the web hosting service. NOTHING was said at that time about a cancellation fee, or that a fee was due.
I was NEVER contacted by 1 to 1 nor by the credit collection agency (NCO) that they apparently turned me over to (although they claim they tried "repeatedly"). I'm not that hard to find, so I find that implausible.
I noticed a negative report on my credit report and contacted them immediately. I can't say I was treated with anything resembling "customer service."
It seemed easier to pay the $30 to get it off my credit report, but I hate capitulating to this kind of treatment. So the best I can do it warn others and NEVER use them again.
