Not only have I had issues with AT&T Wireless and fraudelent accounts, but Palisades Collection Agancy is holding strong and truly refusing to remove the negative information from my credit report. I have complained to the BBB, FTC, and the Attorney Generals Office, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
My complaints were specifically aimed at AT&T Wireless and 3-4 fraudlent accounts in my name, as well as the credit agencies. Thanks to an agent in Pittsburgh, AT&T have dismissed all fraudelent charges, but Palisades Collection Agency is still refusing to remove the negative item from my credit reprot. They claim, "it takes awhile", or, "it is being removed".
I find it to be absurd that this company is in existence, at current. I advise everyone to complain to the FTC and to file a direct complaint with your local attorney general's office. Although credit reporting agencies were contacted, as well, they can only state that the debt is being disputed.
