Continental Direct Services contacted me back in 2000 or 2001 to offer me a credit card that can only be used for their catalog. I initially only had to pay $99.00 and if I did not want the service any longer I could cancel before I was charged the annual fee of $99.00.
I never received any materials after they had already debited my checking account and I obviously cancelled my membership. I then called a second time to confirm that my membership was cancelled in 2001 and I was given a cancellation number from an individual named Mike.
A few months later Continental Direct Services placed sent me to a collection agency named I.C. Systems, Inc. And was then put on my credit report as owing $99.00. I recently contacted the collection agency after reviewing my credit report and I am awaiting a response from them to verify this alleged debt.
