I bought a T-mobile Dash cell phone about 3 months ago. It was new to the market and I just loved it. I paid $420 cash out of pocket for it since I had already did an upgrade recently.
Well after 3 months the LCD screen cracked and I am unable to use any of the features I bought the phone for. I NEVER placed the phone in my pocket, NEVER carried it unless in the flimsy case provided. I NEVER dropped the phone. There is NO WAY I would have had the opportunity to break this phone. There is no physical damage anywhere on the outside of the phone.
I called T-Mobile and I was told the LCD screen was not covered under warranty. I was told by the rep their is no known issue with a flimsy LCD. I did my own research and found hundreds of complaints about this LCD screen breaking. As a matter of fact, I am #11 in line at a local wireless repair shop to get mine fixed. 11 and counting. One shop in one area. That tells me something when it is a NEW phone on the market.
All I want is my phone to be covered and T-Mobile and the maker, HTC I believe, to take responsibility for a poorly made yet highly priced phone. Do the right thing and back your product.
