I bought an HTC phone and prepaid T-Mobile service here in January. Two weeks ago the battery swelled up and cracked the screen. The people at CPD told me they didn't know what to do about and to take it to the T-Mobile store. They told me to file an insurance claim. After three hours on the Internet and phone trying to file an insurance claim, it was denied because the phone should be covered under the manufacturer's warrantee. So I called the manufacturer - they told me that according to the serial number the phone was manufactured in 2010 and therefore not covered. They also informed me that CPD was not an authorized retailer. I'm disgusted at this point. I can't believe I spent $300 on a 2 year old phone!
