FRAUD - Billed me and I have no cable of any kind. Charged off my bill because I would not pay

I originally set up a date to have cable installed at my home. I had verified and repeated the day several times and was told the installer would not give me a time, that I would have to be there from 8:00 until 5:00. My grown daughter came to my house to meet the cable installer.

In the meantime, I decided to take off to make sure it was done right. I never left the house from 5:15pm the previous day until 7:50am the day after the cable was supposed to be installed. My daughter was there also. No one came to install the cable.

Around 2:00 I called to make sure the installer was still coming. The customer service rep said that he didn't have it on his schedule. She told me she would see what she could do and have a supervisor call me. I explained that I had missed 8 hours of work. She told me she would see that I was compensated for their error. I never talked to a supervisor. I have received two bills over a two month period. I have called each time explaining that I do not have cable of any kind. I use "rabbit ears" for my tv. They wanted to know what they were supposed to do about it. They charged-off the account for my failure to pay.

I cannot reason with them. No super will call and they are the rudest people with which I have ever dealt. I have tried to explain that this is fraud, but to no avail.
