My apartment complex uses this company as a 3rd billing for water. First off, they are VERY expensive! Stupidly, I signed a lease agreeing to pay a flat rate of $61.10/month for water and its only me living there! The first few bills were accurate, but they weren't delivered until shortly before the due date. I'm starting to believe they send the bill out late (or not at all) to tack on additional charges. If you get the bill late, to avoid the late fees, you are forced to pay by phone or online, both of which cost extra! Two months ago I got a bill for $180!!! I called NES to complain, but I was only told that I needed to speak with the apartment's management. I went to my management and they proceeded to tell me that NES is very difficult to work with, but they would get it straightened out. I was instructed to pay the standard $61.10. A few days later, I got a 3 day notice on my door saying that if I didn't pay the $120 balance I would be evicted. Once again, I spoke with management and said NES was supposed to write off the $120, as it was their mistake. Now this month, my bill NEVER came so I wrote a check to my apartment office for the $61.10. Once again, I just got a 3 day notice on my door and now I'm waiting for the office to work it out with NES. I cannot wait to get out of my apartment just so I don't have to deal with NES anymore!
