I purchased a new Kenmore refrigerator on March 30,09 (model #4664812) for $439.99. The refrigerator died in June requiring a new compressor to the tune of over $700. Well it DIED again last week. They have to repair it again and will not replace it.
We've contacted the store, they refuse to help. Should've bought the extended warranty. I guess we are fools to expect a refrigerator to last more than six months!!! We've contacted various people at the 800 number to no avail. They said we must proceed for the new part to repair the unit.
Is this crazy? Kenmore used to have great products, which is why we bought it. No wonder Sears is having so much trouble. Lousy products and customer service.
