Please be cautious when dealing with Viva Vegas Rentals. According to the company website, the alleged owner, Kevin Brix has multiple properties for rent. When I was attempting to book a home for a vacation with family and friends, every suitable property this company owned was booked. He phoned me and told me that he was "aquiring" a new property and would have pictures to send me in a couple of days. He then forwarded pictures of the new property he "acquired." The property was acceptable and a lease agreement that required 1/2 the total rental cost as a down payment was signed.
About a month later, I receive a phone call from another agent who had agreed to urgently lease a property for another individual who had agreed to lease a property from viva vegas rentals. The agent informed me that rental property scams are being conducted in the Las Vegas area.
I searched for the property online and found that the house I was interested in (2230 Jamaica Court, Las Vegas, NV 89117) was still for sale. I contacted the listing agent and discovered that no management company had the legal authority to rent the property. I contacted Mr. Brix and my credit card company to file a dispute. Mr Brix informed me that he did not own the property and then proceeded to ask me why I wanted the property and what did he want me to do about it. He has "agreed" to refund the full amount paid to date. However, the problem remains that this individual and/or company is attempting to lease property that they do not legally own nor have a managment contract with the owner (s).
