I sent in a payment for $400. This check was cashed but never applied to my account. I found this out when I refinanced my car. I called and was told to send proof that I had sent the money. Then I was told that it would be taken care of. Days later I called to find out if it had been sent. I was told that I would receive the check in 20 days which fell on November 13th.
On Nov 13th when the check did not show up in the mail I called once again. I was told that the check had been mailed and that I would get it by Friday, November 17th.
Well today is the 17th and no check. I called again. The lady told me that she did not know why the check had not been sent yet and that they would research and call me on Monday or Tuesday.
I just do not understand why this is taking so long to be settled. It has been over 30 days since my check was cashed. If it was the other way around and I was 30 days late in sending my money then I would be sent to collections. But this company can take as long as they want to send me my money. I just dont understand it. Beware of capital one auto finance!
