Sent email request for pricing on a 2006 Honda CR-V. Was contacted via phone on 2/3/06 by the Internet Manager (Elbony Beasley) who quoted me invoice plus TT&L and promised to take care of me. A short while later I received an email from the New Car Sales Manager/e-Commerce Director (Ron Wilkin) advertising a "Superbowl Special" good for 2/3/06 and 2/4/06 - $1000.00 below invoice on all 2006 CR-V's, Elements and Ridgelines.
I called Elbony back to verify that the price she quoted me would go down by $1000.00 and she said yes it would. I wanted to go ahead and verify all the details so that I could take delivery of the CR-V the following day. She said she was with a customer and would call me back.
She didn't call me back, I tried multiple times to call her and was always told she was with a customer, so I left voice mails asking that she call me back as soon as possible. This was both on 2/3/06 and 2/4/06.
Finally on the afternoon of 2/4/06 I called Ron Wilkin and explained the situation. I told him that I lived several hours away and that since the "special price" was only good through the rest of the day, I needed to verify everything before driving to the dealership.
He said he would make sure Elbony called me back and that since I lived so far away they would allow me to "hold the CR-V" with a deposit using my credit card and I could take delivery the following week.
To make a long story short they never called me back. Obviously they never had any intention of selling the vehicle at $1000.00 below invoice. They are DISHONEST! They will not honor their own email specials or the prices they quote, stay away from this dealership.
