I have been with Citifinancial for over 10 years, in 2001 the company I worked closed down do to 911. Since that time I worked off and on with Temp. Companies. My mortage payment was $800.00 a month I fell behind 2 months, this was ongonig threw 2003.
Each month I contacted Citifinancial Mortgage and spoke with a different rep. Each time. On occassions I would speak with 3-4 reps. Per week. Each one insured me as long as I continued to make payment arrangements and keep them it would not be a problem. Anyway upon sending them $1,700.00 in November. One week later I was served with foreclosure papers. The representative (if names are needed I can forward at a later date since so many) informed me he as sorry it is out it hand and his boss decided I should be sent to foreclosure, note: all prior arrangements were kept.
Once into forclosure; needless to say down the road (March) they finaly decided to do a remoderfication on the loan. The remod cost me over $5,000. This is where it gets even better, the remod was suppose to included back taxes; quess what I get a bill from them 8/18/06 dated 8/6/04 when I called on 8/19 I was told that I am a deadbeat, can't afford property, sell or else. The rep was nasty on the phone, I asked for her supervisor which was just as bad.
Finally I was told in order to stay in my home I must open a checking account send them and additional $2,300.00 by 8/30/04 plus pay addition monies in the amount of $358.00 per mo., plus the remoderfaction loan amount of $560.00 or they will start foreclosure proceedures again. I asked the supervisor for additional time, she stated no can do, our policy is to collect 35% of back taxes up front as down payment and put you on payment plan, and we don't have to do that. I lost many a nights sleep becuase of the way they treat me on the phone.
