US Bank incorrectly charged a late fee to my visa for a late payment in October. When I called them they refused to remove the fee so I contacted the BBB and the fee was removed.
I believe the fee was assessed in retaliation for a prior incident that resulted in me filing a complaint and a better business bureau complaint regarding being charged overdraft fees in my checking account when I was not overdrawn. These fees were eventually refunded.
I am very careful not to have any late payments because it is clear they make many errors.
My November payment was due on 11/6 and was paid on 11/1. My December payment was also paid on 12/1 and due on 12/6. Late payment fees were assessed for both months.
I have filed a better business bureau complaint again, but this is a large corporation. Mistakes like this should not occur every single month.
