As an employee, you give your employer the benefit of the doubt when it comes to their honesty. I have been working for an outbound sales company that does telephone sales for a number of companys including Global Financial. It turns my stomach to hear about all of the claims against Global when we have been told by our supervisors that it is a legit business.
When we were forced to work on this project because the other options were taken away from us, I thought the company was a bit shady, but like I said, we were assured they weren't. I hope the few sales that I've made were honored, but I can't help but think that I'm wrong after reading these postings.
Let me assure you that the reason I'm not a successful salesperson is because I refuse to mislead you. I know that there a number of people I work with that are not scared to mislead you and supervisors who encourage it, but for me, I never say that Global is a credit card company and go out of my way to make sure you know that as well. The fact is that if you get this card, it's not a credit card, it's a prepaid card that you put money on first, then use up to that amount, kind of like a prepaid cell phone.
If I could walk out I would, but I need this job for now. I can sleep at night knowing that I tell the people the truth as I know it, which is why so many people tell me there not interested more times than they tell me they are. I'll probably lose my job because of my bad numbers, but I don't care. I plan to stick around and collect my houly wage until they fire me.
I just want you to know that there are telemarketers out there with a conscience and if I ever learn that just one of my customers didn't get what they were promised, I will quit that minute.

As a matter of general information, consumers should exhibit caution with any company which requires an advance fee for credit card services. Demand all details in writing before considering any offer. Understand what will be received for your money. Often, these firms may be selling a secured credit card, a card that can only be used in the company's own catalog, or simply information about applying.
Consumers should ask themselves why an unknown company, charging an upfront fee, is likely to allegedly issue credit cards without requiring the typical approval process. If for whatever reason you are unable to obtain a credit card, how does this firm guarantee you credit? Is the company a card-issuing institution? The Better Business Bureau recommends that consumers not release personal bank account or Social Security information to any unknown firm charging an advance fee for their services.
