I recieved this check in the mail with a letter telling you to call the number, and the will give you further instructions. I called the number and the lady "lisa scott" says to deposit the check into the bank wait until funds are available and then call back. Fortunatly i have been employed in the check cashing business before and new not to take the number off of the check to verify funds i looked up the sheridan state bank on white pages, called the bank and they verified the check was indeed fraud. So i called back the tammy lady and told her the bank told me the check was fraud and she said " oh you will need to talk to the accounting dept i dont have anything to do with the issuance of the checks. Then i was hung up on. So i called back and no answer. Also the number for verification on the check is not the bank. I called them back and asked why i was being told that this check was fraud and was hung up on again. Hopefully the word gets out so these scam artists get caught.
