I received a letter from this company stating I won 425,000 dollars and included was a check for 3,955.00 to cover the insurace cost. When I call the number on the letter they told me to deposit the check in my personal bank account and then they would give me a pin number that I would need to claim my winnings. Once I deposited the check I was to then use cash to pay to insure the package.
After I got off the phone with them I did my research and got the phone number of the bank that the check was issued from. I did call the bank and they did verify that the check was fradulant. When I called the number back on the letter and told them I checked up on them and that this was a scam they hung up on me. I continued to call back and they keep hanging up.
DO NOT cash this check! In 7-10 days the check will get returned and then you will be responsible for the money spent.
