They called claiming that I had been selected to received a $4,500 grant from the government. They asked me to verify my mailing address, which I did. They then asked me to verify the bank that I had a valid bank account with, which I did. It was then stated that I had been given a grant to use however I wanted and that all I would need to do was make one payment of, what I thought was $375, however, from reading these reports she may have said $395.
I asked why I would need to pay money to receive a grant. She stated it was a processing fee. I told her that I was not comfortable with that because I know you do not have to pay money to receive a grant. I asked her where their company was located to which she quickly replied Philidelphia, PA. I then asked the company and she said "American Standard Financial". I said I would have to think about it. Now, I did say the name of my bank but did not give any further information. Do you think they can get anything with that??
