American Standard Financial company has been calling my house for weeks and today i was home so i finally answered the phone.
The lady on the other end told me that i was approved for a govt grant of up to $4500 and that since it was a govt grant it didnt have to be paid back.
I asked her how the govt got my name and she said from the taxes that we file.
Well she went on to tell me that the requirements to get the grant was that i had to be at least 18 yrs old and have an active checking account.
Then she went on to tell me that in order to get the grant i had to pay a processing fee of $359.00 before the package would be sent to me and then after i sign the papers and sent them back it would take approx 7 business days for the grant to be deposited into my account.
So i ask her that if it was a govt grant why would i have to pay $359 for a processing fee if i dont have to pay the grant back, she said it was to pay for the package and that when i got the grant i would actually be payin myself back.
Well after i informed her that i didnt have that kind of money to throw away she ask when i would have it and being suspicious i told her at least 3 wks so then she said that she would have to call me back then.
This struck me as very odd so when i did a check on the internet i found the rip off reports about them so i thought that i would write my own story here.
Please be aware of scams like this. I just wonder how many people gave their account information and now is out $359
