Rebate ripoff Sacramento

I have been waiting for a $49.99 rebate since August. I have called at least four times and get the same response. The first time I called the following response was reCeived: "The rebate checks were issued October." When I called a second time I was told the first batch of checks were issued October however, there was a problem and these were lost and have not been reissued. The SBC person told me she would make sure my check would be reissued ASAP. This was November.in December I call again and am told the same thing as this first phone call. Bottom line is my check is still not received and SBC continues lying to me with each customer service rep I speak with. Please help me.
