I bought a house in Houston, and the sales contract included a provision for the seller to purchase a home warranty to protect the buyer (me). The home warranty was purchased from Home Warranty of America.
One month after move-in, I called in a service call for the washer and dryer. Home Warranty of America instantly denied the claim. They said they were broke before I got them. Period. The policy purchased was the Diamond policy, which includes washers and dryers.
Warning: do not buy Home Warranty of America. They are a ripoff.
