Pre-authorization and Pushy Staff Regarding Suggested Treatment
East Palmdale, CA office - I went in for an exam and X-rays, which were advertised as free if no insurance was offered on their website. I provided my insurance details during the appointment call. When I went for the appointment, they had not obtained the pre-authorization and later, I found out they still hadn't billed my insurance. Then, I asked for pre-authorization for another procedure I was considering. With the insurance agent on the phone, they immediately put in a bill of over $400 to their collections instead and have been harassing me with calls since Saturday, November 1st. Now, I am receiving letters as well. It's a good thing I didn't go back and get the work done. Who knows what they might have done?
I canceled the pre-authorization on November 1st after the collections call and told them to stop the collections. However, I received more calls and then a letter yesterday and today to collect! They are not professional at all. I can't enjoy the insurance benefits there. It's fortunate there was no real need to go. I'd be upset if I had! I can't recommend this place at all. No way. I found lots of similar complaints about other locations on various websites after searching to see if this type of incident occurred there. This location didn't have any complaints that I found until my chaotic experience, so I felt I should document it for others in case it's helpful.
STOP trying to get money from me for procedures I never received! How unprofessional are they? CEASE AND DESIST!
