I recently moved from Huntington Beach to Corona, I brought all the equipment with me since they may need my DVR and also the modem in my new place. The technician installed new equipment in my place and did not ask for the old equipment back or anything and we WERE NEVER ADVISED that we have to bring the old equipment to a Time Warner store or send it back through mail. After a month and a half I got a collections call from New York stating that I owe $400 because of this equipment that wasn't returned.
I was so upset that I called Time Warner and the manager was even trying to charge me around $39.99 for the shipping return of this equipment, and after debating with him he waived it and I got the box to return the equipment the next day. The following day I returned the equipment and according to the Fedex tracking number it was delivered the next day.
Today, 2 days after they got the equipment, I got a call again from this collections agency in New York asking me for this equipment and asking me to pay the $400 again! I called Time Warner Cable again and the lady said she'll document everything and said will transfer me to the collections department. I was on hold for 20 minutes then after that the call was disconnected.
I'm really really frustrated, upset, and I felt that this is the worst service ever. I wouldn't recommend their service with anyone. Once I get to the bottom of this I would definitely disconnect the service and NEVER return from them again.
What a ripoff!!!
