Time Warner Cable, the Motorola DCH3416 All-Digital, HDTV, Dual-Tuner DVR cable boxes are USED and DEFECTIVE and do not work properly. This is a known problem and admitted by all customer service reps at Time Warner Cable for a year now, but they refuse to replace them, and keep on shipping the same boxes to me after telling me they would ship new equipment.

This is what is happening to me:

1. Over 8 months ago, they set me up with 3 total Motorola DCH3416 All-Digital, HDTV, Dual-Tuner DVR boxes in my living room and my 2 childrens bedrooms. They are defective and dont work properly. When recording shows, the fast forward, pause, rewind functions do not work and have a 1 miinute delay, and it is just completely frustrating and useless and a waste of our time. This is very frustrating when they are charging me like $20 total per month per DVR box for the last 8 months.

2. I called in and complained, told them i pay alot of money for these DVR boxes and the cable service, and want equipment that works. They tell me they are sending a technician out to replace the 3 DVR boxes with new equipment.

3. The installer shows up and tells me what I was told by Time Warner was a lie, that the only equipment they have is the used defective equipment. So they replace all 3 boxes with the same used defective models. No change, the boxes are actually worse than before.

4. I call Time Warner Cable and complain again. They tell me they will ship me 3 new DVR boxes, the newest models so i could replace my used defective DVR boxes. Well, Fedex arrives today with 2 new boxes. I think it is Christmas and all excited. I open the NEW boxes and to my surprise, it is used, defective Motorola DCH3416 All-Digital, HDTV, Dual-Tuner DVR boxes with scratches on them. So i just got scammed 2 times and lied to 2 times as well.

5. I call Time Warner again, and the supervisor tells me they have no say so on what they ship me or what technicians will install, and they would not atleast give me 50% credit on the used defective DVR boxes. So they dont care about their customers and cannot help out. They are just waiting on Motorola to fix the known problems.

In the mean time we are being billed for NEW, Motorola DCH3416 All-Digital, HDTV, Dual-Tuner DVR equipment that should be working perfectly, while Time Warner bills us some $20 per month per DVR box and profiting off these charges for NEW equipment.

Can someone please tell me what we can do to get credited for used defective DVR equipment or atleast get newer equipment that works properly?
