Warner Cable Cincinnati sent customers with out-dated modems new equipment. It came with "easy to understand" instructions on how to install this equipment. At the end of the installation you were instructed to call their technical support line in order to register the equipment and to actually get reconnected to the internet. When I did this, I spent 40 minutes on hold, then another 20 minutes waiting to be hooked back up. Then when I told them that my wireless printer no longer worked their response was great. "Call your printer manufacturer because we did not hook up the modem, you did and we are not responsible for your equipment. Of course, I would not have internet access after 6/15/09 if I didn't hook up the modem, but they get out of having any responsibility in messing up any of your equipment by sending the modem to their clients and having them do the work. Seems like I should be paid for the installation and at the very least they should try to figure out why my equipment no longer works.
