I called the Ramada Plaza Resorts this morning, August 23 and demanded that all of my money be returned to my account. I had tried to cancel the vacation package completely an hour after I had confirmed it on August 18.
I was given the very strong impression by 3 or more people at the "800" number that they could not refund my money in full. They kept lowering the deposit and extending the length of time in which I could use the vacation.
This morning, however, I lost my composure and screamed at the guy that I wanted ALL my money refunded, not just most of it. I have to give him credit&he kept very calm.
After almost 30 minutes and a few times being put on hold, he informed me that I would be getting all the money refunded. I did apologize for screaming at him, but told him it was very frustrating knowing that I had a legal right to a full refund.
I don't think it matters what state you live in, you have 30 days to cancel any transaction and receive a full refund. I will come back and announce when the full amount has been refunded.
