Will Not Honor Cancellation Clause

On or about December 28, I used my Visa Check Card to put a downpayment of $299.00 on a vacation package with Ramada Plaza Resorts. I received the vacation package about ten days later. Three days after receiving the package I completed the cancellation notice and returned the vacation package by US Postal to them.

I received a call today from Ramada Plaza Resorts informing me that I had two choice, one to transfer the package to someone else or to place an ad to sell it. At no time would they say that I could be refunded for the payment I made.

When I purchased the vacation package, I planned to use it in August after I sold my business and home, prior to relocating to Ghana, West Africa where my husband resides. I suffer with degenerative arthritis, and this winter has caused my arthritis to progress to where I cannot take care of myself with help, so my husband has asked me to move sooner.

No where in our conversation when I purchased the vacation package was I informed that I could not received a refund of my money. Pleas help me to get my money back!
