British Airways Comair Empty promises in seating a family togethe

At booking and in all literature BA indicates that they understand that it is important for families to be seated together on international flights. When seats were however assigned by BA, the family was split up, leaving one parent with both toddlers and the other parent in a different row.

Phoning BA proved to be futile as the call centre agent was obviously not empowered to do anything. An email message to BA UK was deflected by indicating that they have nothing to do with it and that BA Comair in South Africa needed to be contacted. Contacting BA Comair in South Africa resulted in that call centre agent speaking to the international call centre agent and achieving nothing.

Please BA if you don't care enough to hold to the expectations created that you will seat families together, then at least put one child with one parent and don't lump both children with one parent leaving the other parent out in the cold.

Please BA if you don't intend on seating families together, then don't put in all your literature that this is your seating policy and don't create expectations which you won't live up to.
