Every other online reservation service I've used (Expedia, Orbitz, Hotwire) has always notified me if my seat requests could not be satisfied. This time I tried Travelocity. I made seat requests and they confirmed my reservation. When I go to US Airways online to print my boarding pass, no seat assignments! Yet in the previous 3 weeks, not a word from Travelocity that I did not get my seat requests. I look at the US Airways site seating request and guess what? The seats I had requested are still available, but now they cost $45.00 each! 3 calls to Travelocity Customer Service, from 3 different phones and locations. Each time the connection is terrible and you can't understand the accent, plus 20 minutes wait time. Then they just repeat that they don't guarantee seat requests. I tell them I know that, but why didn't they TELL ME I didn't get my seat requests? I pay US Airways extra for the very seats I had originally requested just to get home and be able to sit next to my husband on the 4 hour flight. Then Travelocity sends me an email telling me they want me to be happy with their service, please fill out their survey, and if I have any complaints, please call their customer service. They promise to "make it right." So I call again and get the runaround again. Travelocity doesn't tell you your seat requests were denied, and what to do in a reasonable amount of time if you don't get your seat requests. They let the airlines charge you more for the very seats you requested. What a ripoff. Never use them again.
