I took my two daughters to First Care in I was divorced in 2006. The court ordered that I provide health insurance for the girls, which I did.in my ex took the kids to First Care several times and never told me, not a huge issue though. First care sent bills to my former address, which I never got, so my account went to CCI in Fort Collins for collections. When I finally became aware of the problem, I contacted First Care and got copies of "the contract" and a bill, which was not itemized. First Care says that I was the one who signed the contract in I did. However their own contract states that "a divorced or separated parent who seeks care for the child, will be billed, First Care will not bill the other parent". When confronted with this, First Care gave me the run around, and now my credit is tarnished and they refuse to provide health care for the girls, until the bill is paid. I consider this a breech of contract, they will not honor their own policy, and it is unfair to stick the divorced parent with the bill, when the parent who sought the care makes 3x as much money. Unfair!
