Horrifying. Aggressive. Rageful. Unethical.
1."Dr." Katalin Eckstein was paid religiously every month, but withheld depositing the checks. She then filed in court and cc'd every professional on the case, including opposing counsel, judge, forensic psychologist, parenting coordinator, and even the ex-spouse, that the parent had not paid her, was in contempt of court orders, had abandoned the children's therapy, and has therefore abandoned the children and should not be permitted to see them because parent is, in essence, mentally ill, irresponsible, self-centered, and an incompetent parent.
These court reports and cc'd letters were to have egregious consequences.
The day after she filed the same... She deposited the lump sum of all the parent's checks into the bank.
Hard to believe this could be done by an alleged professional.
What did her partner Diane Van Ness, guardian ad litem who was required to be objective, do about it? Nothing. Silence.
2.in addition, neither Katalin Eckstein nor Diane Van Ness would permit the parent to say, "I love you, " or "I miss you" to the children for several years, claiming this would somehow "damage" the children.
This, mind you, was the directive from a "child psychologist" and a "guardian ad litem" whose ethical and objective role it is to reunite families.
Many of us filed or wish to file grievances and/or testify to an ethics committee. We have very extensive docs available.
These are the two most disturbing and disordered professionals I have come across in Miami, and I highly recommend that future families and pros avoid their services.
