I was a sucker to a scam. Beware of Vacation Network, you will never be able to use your vacations and they will keep charging you the yearly membership fee even if you dont use it.
I got a call from a telemarketer saying that I had won a prize if I come in for a presentation. I thought it was fair to spend some time to see what Vacation Network has to offer. I went for the 'presentation' that ended up being a pressure cooker. There was more sales pressure at this presentation than at a used car dealership. 5 different people were in my face telling me what a great opportunity this is. There are so many restrictions on theri program. You have to book your vacation almost 6 months in advance if you want to go during peak season, there is no follow-up when you do book a vacation.
I tried to book a vacation and it was 6 weeks before I received a call stating that there was no availability for my dates. Thank God I had not purchased air yet! I have asked Vacation Network to return my initial deposit and cancel my membership.By the time I pay all of their fees, i can't even afford to go on vacation anymore. I have even told them that they can keep the money i had paid for my reservation that they could not make if they just let me go. I thought this was a reasonable request.
They tell me that it would take an act of GOD to be released from their contract that I signed so it may be too late for me but I want to warn other people to not be fooled like I was! Any company that does not offer a rescission period cannot be trusted!
