First of all you absolutely will NOT vacation for $400.00 per week and here's why. Let's assume you take one weekly vacation per year. Although you can take two weeks per year, that would be impractical because of the 90 to 180 days required advance notice. (3 to 6 months) You paid an average of $400.00 per week. Now add the $329.00 yearly membership dues, that week now costs $729. Then you have the $99.00 per week reservation fee. That week now costs $828. Since 39 of the 52 weeks per year (75% of the time) are classified as peak travel time there is another $30.00 per day ($210 per week) upgrade. Your $400 week now costs $1,038. Moreover, if you require an additional bedroom (all accommodations are studio or one bedroom units) then there is another $30 per day ($210 per week) upgrade. Your $400 week now costs $1,248 and that does not include meals, air fare, transfers to and from the airport, local taxes, on-site amenities, maid service, gratuities, etc. $1,038 to $1,248 per vacation week is not a good deal by any measure.
All requests are based on availability, and the following restrictions as quoted from the Sundance Vacations contract. You may assist our Vacation Fulfillment/Reservations department by being as flexible as possible with your desired vacation area and dates. Provide a total of 3 areas and/or 3 dates: The 3 vacation areas may have the same travel dates, or the 3 travel dates may all be for the same desired vacation area. Reservation Requests must be received at least 90 days in advance for peak season requests and 180 days in advance for holiday or special event times. Summer travel is defined as the dates between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Almost all dates qualify as peak travel so requests are typically 90 to 180 days in advance.
Bottom line, the vacation weeks cost over $1,000 and are very difficult to use because of all the "catch 22" requirements.
