My flight was cancelled for mechanical problems. When I called Orbitz customer care, I received no support. I talked to a girl who showed zero empathy for my circumstances. She couldn't care less. She put me hold so often for so long my battery ran out on my phone and had to drive to a friends house to plug it in, all while on hole. The logged time was 1 hour 24 minutes. She did not come back on the phone regularly to give me updates; maybe once to twice the whole time. She eventually gave me a record locator number and instructed me to check in at the AA counter. Once I arrived at the airport, the record locator number was not valid and no one at the AA counter could figure out what orbitz did in the system. It took them so long to figure out I missed my flight while waiting at the counter for over an hour.
