My husband is in jail 2 hours away. For him to call me it is 3.95 to connect and. 69 a minute... Meaning almost $15 for a 15 minute phone call. Outragous. So I changed my number to one closer to his facility, because it was only 1.50 a call. Once I did that I attempt to transfer my balance from my old phone to the new one and they want to take 5.50 out of it to do that. They also charge 10.95 when you set up an account plus a minimum of $15. Then everytime you add money they charge you 5.50. Then they blocked out my credit card on my new account, stating to use it I need to fax them my credit card and a picture ID. This sounds like a scam to me so I didn't do it. So now I have to buy a prepaid card with a processing fee of 3.95 PLUS their processing fee... A total of 9.45 just to add some money so my husband can call me. On top of that, there have been many calls that have not connected, yet I am charged for them and they won't refund the money. I spent $20 on 2 calls. How can they do this?
