We purchased NFL Sunday Ticket through DIRECTV to watch mainly the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions. These games are blacked out on us because they say they are on our local channels. The problem is, we live so far out in the country that we don't get any local channels, just fuzz!
When we first got DIRECTV we had to get a waiver from FOX saying that they agreed that we didn't get a local FOX channel, and because of that, they were giving us access to FOX East and West out of LA / NY. Isn't that enough? The network seems to know that we don't get a local FOX, so why don't we get the Packers when they are broadcast on the Marquette, MI FOX Channel that we don't get!
When I called DIRECTV for answers, they couldn't give me any.
They said it was the NFL, which is fine, but give me somebody to contact there... They wouldn't. They also wouldn't give me a refund of any type, except for $5 off my montly bill for the next 6 mos! Give me a break, the NFL Sunday Ticket is $200 the our monthly bill that we pay, $5 a month doesn't put a dent in anything.
