My recent dealings with directv have left me grateful for cable.in the fall, I was offered NFL Sunday Ticket and the premium channels free. I repeated this over and over to the customer service person. Is all of this really free? (I wouldn't have ordered NFL Sunday Ticket otherwise and I don't watch movie channels). He assured me over and over that yes, it is all free as a thank you for loyalty. So why wouldn't I do it? I learned a month ago that I must now pay for the NFL Sunday Ticket. I finally spoke with a supervisor and had the charge taken off of my bill only to have it reversed when I had to suddenly cancel service because I was moving and can't have satellite. So as a word of warning—don't accept any offers of free anything from them. You will be charged in the end and I'm sure the original CS person got a hefty commission off of my acceptance of the offer.
