I have been a Direct TV subscriber for more than a decade now. Mostly because of their monopoly on the NFL Sunday Ticket. Last year I purchased the HD receiver and found that the games were not in HD so I called and ask why. After talking to the Rep. I was given access to HD football games. For this year, I'm told that in order to enjoy game in HD I would have to pay an additional $16 per month. I already pay $6 per month for the HD receiver and $10 per month for HD access fee. That's a total of $32 per month for HD.
My question to the Rep. This time was, why am I being charged for something that should be standard. CBS and Fox Sports broadcast in HD! If the local channels are already in HD, then why would I pay additional for superfan? Then she goes to explain all the bells and whistles. I don't care for redzone mix and 8 games @ once. I want to watch the channels in HD and I shouldn't have pay additional for what is already broadcasted HD.
