I contacted Magellan tech support on September 17. Today is now October 22 and I'm still waiting on the replacement gps. It's under warranty. I only live 20 miles from where they're shipping it. At the time I called I hadn't even had it 6 months. The satellites would go down and put me back up 14 miles away. My waypoints would be about 30ft off. My joystick won't go up (they're known to break).
Tech support told me they would send me another one. I'm still waiting. I've called at least 7 times. Have been on hold for hours. Have talked to staff, a supervisor and 2 managers. They all promised to make it "top priority" and call me back within 24 hours. As of today, I have yet to receive one phone call. They claim they had computer upgrades to their system. They must have some bad computer software installers if it takes that long to install the upgrades. (Usually takes me less than an hour).
The worst part is every number you call directs you to India. Why do I have to call another country? Even emails sent come back as form letters telling you "I see you've already contacted tech support" and they can help you with your problem. Problem is. No one does. Have a friend who took his in to be fixed and a month later is still waiting to get it back.
Don't waste your money on Magellan!
