I presently own a Magellan Roadmate Model 300 GPS unit. The unit is less than 3 years old. It has been back to Magellan once for a warranty repair and has been repaired twice at my own cost. Recently the unit failed to power on and I contacted Magellan (off shore somewhere). They explained that they are no longer providing repair service for the unit nor could they recommend a service facility. It was suggested that I use their "Trade In" program. They provided a list of models I could trade to with the trade in price. Their price (with trade of my old unit) was higher that the retail price at a local merchant. I don't understand how a company can drop support for a product in less than 3 years. I would not recommend Magellan products in the future.
