We contact Progressive Van Lines to move our furniture from Washington to Florida, we thought we had a good deal. Already late in coming to our house to move our belongings the movers start to impose new rules. We had no choice but to agree and sign new rules.
Our furniture was mishandled and thrown into a truck with other items. We start to wonder on how they will identify our furniture and boxes from others, we were told not to worry they have a sophisticated system and nothing get lost. We had no choice but to move along. Late we received a phone call about the balance to be paid in cash before unloading. As I asked about the weigh of the shipment since we agreed to pay 0.57 per pound, but the company insisted they lost weigh receipt and refused to deliver.
After filing a complaint with BBB they agreed to re-weigh the truck. I had to pay the full amount in cash before delivering and don't make a mistake I took pictures of the truck at the weight station and the cash being handed to them. I feared that they would just run with the cash. They finally delivered partial of the shipment. More then one third of the shipment is missing.in addition they destroyed two mattresses and the table extension. And more items were broken inside the boxes because of the mishandling.
After they promised to find the remaining items, I still missing over one third of the items. I tried to contact them numerous times but their custmer service is an answering machine. I filed a complaint with Consumer Affairs Division as requested by Better Business Bureau.
