I came up with the money. Of 5000.00 in a check to them.

I have not heard a thing from them until a few days before the beginning of May of this year.

During this time they broke the contract, and tried to extort money again in advance of delivery.

I was given 5 days notice by Progressive that I needed to pay money of 3500.00 and find a new storage facility or my worldly possessions (a 2400 sq. Ft. House) would be sold. (The 3500.00 is the remaining balance of an approx 9300.00 move). This was the second attempt at extorting money from me.

They delivered the items to another storage company in Garland, TX - XXXX Moving (where I am moving too). I was informed by the new moving company that is receiving the items, that most, if not all my house items are crushed and many are lost. Furniture is broken also. The new movers (good guys) also informed me that almost all my boxes are crushed.

Progressive does not respond, except the normal runaround via voicemail or "the person you need to speak to is out of the office".

I had my entire life in that move. My parents are now gone and these items are all that is left.

I called the San Jose office of the attorney general (Carter Stuart) who referred me to the local FBI office. Evidently there is an on going investigation about this company. Here is a website I was given by the FBI.

These are all shell companies.

San Jose channel 5,8 and 11 in the area has done a story on them. National Contacts (Fox News, MSNBC, O'Reilly)
I have spoke to the FBI, FTC, BBB.

People go through the "hell" with this company. I am going through it now. I have check copies, emails, and proof of all the above.

Because my move involves the states of MD, WV, CA and TX (I reside in IN temporarily) the issue is going to get ugly. But I am going to file any and all paperwork, call anyone that will listen until this is resolved.

I was told that it went up to upper management, but I was also told that until "push comes to shove" they will not do much. This was told to me via a CS rep quietly.

According to there driver the "locker" in MD was emptied.
