I needed to move my office and decided to call a moving company. After pricing all of them, All My Sons appeared to be a little less expensive.
I spoke with Carlos who told me I'd be paying a little over $100 an hour, that it will not take more than 3 hours total, and that part of the agreement was to pay 1/2 hour to in travel to the location and another 1/2 hour to travel back.
I showed up at my office on the agreed upon date and they weren't there. I had my wife call the moving company and they told her they forgot.
They ended up sending a mover nearly 90 minutes later.
The company showed up and began moving my furniture. They suggested I did not need to stay to watch them pack and that it wouldn't take more than 2 hours to move all of the furniture.
About 5 hours later they called me to tell me they werengoing to bring the furniture to my storage unit. At first, I assumed they'd picked up anothernlocations boxes or something and just had a few loads in their truck. When they showed up, they tried to bill me for $738.00. I was outraged.
I spoke with them on multiple occasions and each time they gave me a different price. Finally, they agreed to a price of $500. While more than what they told me it would cost, it just wasn't worth my time to bother with this any more.
On Friday, April 13, they told me they'd bring the furniture to my storage unit. I had my father waiting at the storage unit for over 4 hours.
They never showed up. They claimed they were there, said they were on their way, claimed they had already delivered it. And none of that was true.
Today, I've had to file complaints with the Utah Department of Consumer Protection, the Salt Lake City Police, The BBB, Rip-Off-Report and I'll file yet another complaint with INS, as their two employees told me they were illegally in the country.
This was the worst experience I've ever had with any vendor. I strongly suggest against using them.
As of today, it has been 10 days and I still don't have my furniture.
