Convienietly "Misplaced" My Furniture

Here is a brief scope of my dealings with the All My Sons Moving of Baltimore, Maryland. Whom conveniently misplaced my bedroom and living room furniture whilst it was supposed to be in storage.

On October 27th I employed the services of All My Sons Moving and Storage (AMS) for the purpose of moving my bedroom and living room furniture (Value $2800) from my apartment in Glen Burnie, MD into storage, with the understanding that it would be delivered to my new home on April 26th.

The person whom I spoke to on the telephone while setting up the pick up was named Cory and his supervisor was Dameon Perkins.

My furniture was picked up on October the 27th as agreed upon, the price for the 3 man crew (for 4 hours), plus the first month of storage was $695.00 which was higher the $620 that I was quoted on the phone.

The furniture was then moved from the apartment in about 3 hours 15 minutes, and I assumed at the time was placed in storage.

I called the moving company on the 5th of April to notify the moving company (AMS) that I was ready to have my furniture delivered from storage to my new home on April 26th. I was told by Corey that my furniture was ready to be delivered on that day and just needed to be loaded up on a truck and delivered.

On Saturday the 26th of April (AMS) did not arrive at the time that they had promised. I called them and was told that they could not load my furniture on their truck because of a problem with their forklift. When I asked them when the forklift was to be repaired, I was told that the forklift "repairman" needed to obtain a part for the forklift. When I asked them why they weren't renting a forklift I was told by Corey that if wasn't there policy to rent substitute equipment (Very Suspicious). I rescheduled the move for Monday the 28th of April. When the 28th of April arrived, my furniture didn't and I was told that the forklift still was not repaired. I asked Cory of AMS when he thought the forklift would be repaired and he told me specifically Tuesday the 29th of April.

On Tuesday the 29th of April my father went to my home in my stead as I had to work that day. No one from the moving company showed up at my house, and no one from the moving company so much as called him to announce they were not planning to deliver my furniture. I called the moving company again and spoke to Corey once again and demanded to speak to his supervisor Dameon, whom I was told was not in the office. I was told that my furniture would arrive at my home on 5/1.

Once again AMS gave no call or no show and I could not reach them on the phone. My father was able to contact Corey the next day via telephone and was told that AMS had "misplaced" my furniture. Again I was not able to contact AMS. I have attempted to contact AMS several times in the last week and have been told that I would have to speak to the manager Dameon and that he was not available. My requests for callbacks were never answered either, yielding even more evidence that AMS has no intention of resolving their mistake and that they are not to be trusted.

I have strong reason to believe that All My Sons Moving and Storage may be a scam and that my furniture may have been sold out from under me in what law enforcement officials call a Fencing Scam.
